Old, worn, noisy unkept apartment

We visited Edinburgh with my young family and stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. We stayed in room 17 on ground level and unfortunately this room is nothing like the photos. It is very unkept, the rooms and carpet are old and dirty, the bathroom has black mould where we did not want to use the shower and bath properly for the kids. The doors were noisy and closed automatically unless a door stop was used; which we asked for an extra stop for the kids bedroom but reception never returned with one or feedback on this request. To top this off, the noise, wow, it was such a noisy room in so many ways that none of us had a good sleep at all for none of the 3 nights. The noise outside on the road, trains, and from other guests. The only good thing here was the location but even so I won’t be staying here with my family again. There are apparently other rooms renovated but this was not stated on check in and the price should never be the same for the apartment we stayed at.

Wrong suite allocated no help offered argued about the booking took more funds than authorised do not explain what a pre authorised credit card is dirty tired rooms very poor go elsewhere Photos available if you want to see behind the glossy promotion! Awful

Would highly recommend Princess Street Suites. We have stayed here before and it didn’t disappoint 2nd time around. The apartments are very spacious, well equipped, the beds are comfortable (even the sofabed) and the location is ideal. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and were very attentive to our needs. Especially Jade (I think that was her name) who went above and beyond with our mountains of luggage! Only negative is that the parking options are quite far away if you have lots of luggage, but most places in Edinburgh are the same. Will definitely be back for a 3rd stay! 😀

I have stayed in Princes Street Suites many times..with my husband and also with girl friends. I have stayed in various sizes of apartment and they have all been very comfortable especially the beds!!!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Warm, comfortable and extremely clean. Staff were approachable, polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would 100% stay there again.
